Better Together are pleased to announce our new Skilling Queenslanders for Work program based in the Redcliffe Peninsula.
The Better Futures Program is a fun and interactive 12-week course that will help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to kickstart your career in the hotel industry.
This training is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its ‘Skilling Queenslanders for Work’ initiative.
As part of this program, participants will be undertaking formal training and assessment with an RTO which will lead to a nationally recognised certificate/qualification in housekeeping, hotel hygiene, serving alcohol, and customer service.
Also, as part of the program, we arrange ‘Work Experience’ for you – which can turn into employment. Our successful employment rate is 75%.
Fully subsidised for eligible participants.
Eligibility:
Participants must be an Australian or NZ Resident (or hold a relevant visa), aged 15 years or older, who has left school and is not currently enrolled at any educational facility (such as school, college, TAFE, or university).
They must also:
- require personalised assistance to overcome barriers to learning & employment OR
- have been unemployed for 6 months or longer OR
- is working less than 25 hours per week.
Training includes:
- Resume & cover letter assistance
- Job searching skills
- Interview skills and practice
- Being provided with a full set of interview clothes
- Employability skills
- Coping tools for anxiety
